Why we started Paytrinsic
After decades watching businesses get declined, frozen, or mispriced by standard processors—not because they were risky, but because their business models didn't fit automated templates—we saw a clear need.
Standard processors use generic risk models that work for retail and restaurants but flag subscription billing, supplement sales, and high-ticket B2B as suspicious. Legitimate businesses with clean track records get declined or terminated without anyone understanding their operations.
We started Paytrinsic to provide an alternative: direct merchant accounts with proper evaluation upfront, acquiring partners who understand complex models, and processing that doesn't freeze when your transaction patterns don't fit a template.

Founder
U.S. Marine Corps veteran with 20+ years in payments, including 13 years at Planet Payment leading U.S. cross-border commerce strategy. Built one of UnionPay's largest U.S. acquiring portfolios and launched UnionPay debit acceptance solutions. Previously led sales training and support operations at Intuit and First Horizon Bank, developing programs that equipped hundreds of teams to serve complex merchant needs.

Paul Levine
Founder
30+ years in payments. Former President of Global eCommerce at Planet Payment and President of Intuit's SMB merchant services division. Developed SecurePlus with China UnionPay—unlocking billions in cross-border transaction volume. Led multiple industry firsts: first card acceptance on cruise ships, first wireless terminal adapters, early chargeback imaging systems.
